The 2nd Event...
Beauty Upgraded.
Beauty Celebrated.
Beauty Experienced.
BEAUTY BY SM.
It was actually more of a relaunch of the Watsons Department stores format. Instead of the usual beauty area you see before, This was the new and improved beauty section at SM Department Stores. I'm sure a lot of you would think that it's not under Watsons but it is. So here are some pics of what I slaved over the past few days. Seeing those collaterals without the execution was too plain for me. But after seeing it on the gondolas, I was pretty happy and wow-ed also. :) I not being biased here, but the new format was really nice. I was thinking that they are probably following with the trend or format of the department stores abroad. Or probably, another Rustan's in the making. Anyways, enjoy the pics!:)
Oh, I almost forgot, I saw Jericho Rosales LIVE. Grabe! the girls or women should I say of all ages are nagtitilian!!! I would like to have a picture just for remembrance's sake but my feet hurts and I don't like crowded spaces. hahaa!:D He's not my crush anyway. hahaha!:)
Once again, enjoy the pictures!:D Those collaterals are what I've worked hard for... imagine the rush. but we made it:)

Sorry for the blurry pic but try to notice how many cellphones were out?

The Amu'in posters! Actually if you purchase P1,500 and up inclusive of Spa Essentials and Amu'in products you get 15 min signature Amu'in spot massage for FREE!:)

May funny kwento for this. This is actually called the VESTIBULE. I don't know what that is at first and they told me that it was for the door (entrance) I thought the vestibule was a big big big image covering the whole door and when we arrived at ORTIGAS DS, I said. Shux! bakit wala yung hinahabol kong vestibule!! I was envisioning it to be super big and all that! Yun pala it was just a small thingie!

Right VESTIBULE

2 weeks....
current mood : confused
For those who are close to me, you'd probably understand my blog title for this entry. It is the time I've been working. I got my FIRST ever pay slip. and thanks to those tax stuff, my already-low salary is now lower. haha! :D But it's okay, The first week was like a rollercoaster of emotions but now because of work. Because of the many complications that things bring at the same time when I started working. Call it coincidence or maybe, it's simply fate playing its games.
I even cried because I feel like I have to choose over things that are important to me. I was so worried that I just kept myself busy at work to distract my mind over some things. I so miss not working. I control my time (well most of the time anyway), I get to do things without rushing so much. I can go online ALL DAY. I can be productive and at the same time do things that I like. I was probably super stressed the first week. I realized too that super totoo yung sinasabi nung manghuhula last time!:D
Anyways, just wanna share some rehearsal pics of David Archuleta near our office!:D I also saw David Cook!!!! :D But it was too far away...

When I took this pic, I wish I could leave a video while the set up and fast forward the video when viewing it. It would have been cool to do that!

With a view of the bay:D

Since I brought my camera with me, I also took the chance to shoot IMAX!

See the guy in light blue shirt? That's David Archuleta! :D He was singing songs loud enough for me to hear in our office!

Still Singing....

I just wanted to shoot this as well and the numerous bouncers around the vicinity!

I was wondering why they are called bouncers?

I learned and did a lot of new things eversince I started working! But what strucked me the most was that one time, nakasabay ko yung janitor sa elevator. He was actually nice and nagbabati. And I joked na "si kuya o bihis na bihis ah" then he told me that he was still going to school. I was shocked. Imagine, ako, all I wanted to do was to go home and this person after work still goes to school. napa-WOW talaga ako! And I told him. Wow kuya! Ok yun ah! Ituloy mo lang yan!:) I'm not sure if I heard it right pero sa PAL daw siya nag aaral. I wish him all the luck! Sobrang napabilib ako sa kanya:)
I learned a lot of new things but I'm very sure that I will learn much more this coming weeks and months. I just hope I can handle it. the most hectic part in my work hasn't arrived yet. I just remembered something so weird. I remember something during the start of my college days. And something happened this week that made me realize something.
I still have a long list of To Do's and Wanted to Do's :D I'll probably and hopefully blog about it tomorrow:D
P.S. the title also shows how long I have been driving (minus some days like today, this wednesday and sundays) :D

Ballet Philippines 40th
Anyways, I got a text today saying that I have an orientation on Monday. I was wondering if this was already the start of my work and if I'm paid for it or not. I thought I was going to drive the car that was exchanged for the Rav4... But when I checked, I saw that it is on manual! NoOo!!! :(
I don't like to drive the Civic, :( It's too fast and big for me. I still like Suzuki Swift! :D I just wonder if my shobe will let me drive the Swift though. We'll see:D

My poor phone! I don't why it turned like this a day before my 8-day vacation!!!! sayang. naiwan tuloy siya. dapat sama siya eh!
Aside from my samsung boo-boo. My motorola phone also needs to be format or something which I didn't do because I was busy packing my things.
Maybe it's time to buy a new phone! haha:) we'll see:D
JOB HUNT UPDATE!
I have an interview this morning 830-10am at Makati. It's a bank. For those who are close to me, you know about the bank thingie. Since I don't wanna bother my dad to drive me to makati. I left early around 730+am and took a cab to Makati. The cab driver was nice so I gave him extra tip!:D Arrived too early around 8am but I was probably the 7th or 8th person. I waited and waited and to make the long story short I was interviewed and asked what position I like and I said marketing and more on the conceptualization. Then she told me that there are no current openings in that area and my resume will be placed in the active file (whatever that is) and the weird thing is I'm free! I wasn't asked to come back the next few days unlike the person before me which was applying for something else ata. I felt like it was fate smiling at me:D But hey, I did my best in the interview and if first impressions last, I'd say that I'm here to prove you wrong:)
Anyways, tomorrow will be a less busier day:D hopefully:) Just wanna plug. We have new chihuahua puppies for sale! many pups to choose from:D

Loooong Week
Anyways, enough about that. Today we went to the Member's Treat of S&R. For the first time, S&R Aseana's parking is full and a lot of people are inside shopping on a weekday! That was around lunch time! I bought Lipton Milk Tea, just because I had a new "recipe" making it in a slushie which tastes so good. Bought Pantene shampoo. why? It was on sale. around 150 pesos off the original price and it's imported. Eversince Pantene changed their recipe locally, I stopped buying since my head hurts whenever I use their shampoo. So I'm glad the imported ones are on sale and bought 2 bottles! :) Ate their new garlic-shrimp pizza. Yummy! And I planned to buy G's and my favorite Dark Crunch in minis but someone bought them all:( sad.
Everything will be fine, right? I should start listing down things already before it's too late. I don't want to forget things that I needed to bring on the trip. I hope they have Wi-fi.
hihi!

Random-ing
These cost me almost 500 pesos! yikes. But then again, This would probably last for 2 months or so.
I had a job interview this morning. And I really got tired of answering exams. The experience with this company is quite different and a little funny. Some people are nice and smiled even if they don't know me but some didn't bother. I don't blame them. Went to school to get my SSS. FINALLY! after the oh-so-long wait. Went home. Fed a part of my fishes, changed clothes did some errands and went to Robinson's Otis. Bought some stuff (Mom's orders) and ate ice cream.
Since they have a promotion of free junk food for the health tea. We bought one just to try it out. (Both the drink and the chips!) Drink tasted good but a little too sweet for me. Chips were great! (Or probably I'm just hungry at that time) I like the onion flavor. And I thought e-aji are chips without MSG. These chips are probably on a different category. :D
I liked their packaging. It gave me an idea for another poster for paws and fins:D :) It's just 1030 and I'm feeling oh-so-tired already. Got another interview tomorrow. We'll see how it works out:)
I hope there are no exams on the job interview tomorrow. I think I took those sets of tests more than 5 times already. And honestly, I'm tired of circling the same answers everytime so I try to circle different answers in those last few tests:))
Gotta go, short entry but I guess fruitful one:) Oh, I can't wait for my fishies to get so big and plump!:)

Job Hunt
Today I had another interivew. It was okay and there's no exams, and I got interviewed by their CEO. I felt so shy and probably SURPRISED. Which made me a little uhm... speechless. So I'm not expecting to be accepted in that company.
I'm actually waiting for some company for the final interview. It's almost three weeks! *sigh* anyways. Sorry no pictures for now. I'll take some of my growing fishies soon!:D I want to get a job! I don't wanna be a bum. Or even just wanna know when I'll start working. I'm a little tired of interviews. I think I got karma from being a little picky when it comes to a job. But then again, I don't like to work on something I don't like to do. I don't wanna quit a job because I don't like what I do.
Now I'm wondering, am I really bagay for a sales position? I really wanted a marketing one but it seems like HR people are putting me in sales. We'll see. Gotta watch DVD. I want to finish that DVD as soon as possible:D I wanna try making coffee jelly. Maybe I'ld make one soon:D

Totally Random
If you click the picture or look closely, you could see tails sticking out or should I say pointing down.
Since I promised myself I need to fix my drawer-full of stuffs and roomful of mess before I accept a job. I started little by little today. I fixed my drawer and rubbed it clean. I threw a lot of stuff. and made a lot of stuff into scratch papers. I saw this.
A bookmark I bought at Australia's Opera House and haven't even used it. I find it a little expensive for a bookmark but it's the opera house! haha:D
Then I found this.

2 courses worth of course cards. See the yellow thingy? That's actually a post it stating the grade I have for Relstri since I wasn't able to get my course card! That Relstri course card made Richard Wu guilty! But I didn't mind anyway. :) Should I throw them away? :D
As I promised, I'd share about my recent job interview. I won't mention the company name here but it is an IT company, well not exactly IT but a techie company. The first time their HR called I already declined since I really wanted a career in a FMCG company. Then last time the same HR called again and asked me for an interview and said something like the CEO saw my resume and would like to interview me or see me. I felt a little shy so I agreed. I knew I was to be interviewed by the HR manager first. So I did and we did talk about a lot of stuff. At first I wasn't really interested but I kept thinking about what the other applicant said that the people in that company stayed long. (Meaning this company is a great company and takes care of its employees. Diba?) I just said that I'd think about it. Which I did. And now, the thought keeps bothering my mind. Am I fated to be on the IT path? A friend told me that once you started in IT it will be hard to shift careers or paths, so there.
I'm still unsure. but we'll see, I hope target goal is that hopefully by March or April I have a job. But then again if I start april, kakahiya I have to file for leave agad hahah:)) We'll see:D who knows, I might just end up pursuing my dreams/goals:)

Freakonomics + Job hunts
Usually, whenever I ride a taxi, I usually pay a little extra since it is my way of saying thank you for the safe ride and I'm just happy I'm home safe and quick. This wasn't the first time, but monday's cab driver asked for a extra after I closed the door of the cab. I was a little annoyed since I really give extras but the fact that there is a meter plus then additional 10 pesos (dapat wala na nga) He still asks for extra. But I just wanna get home safe and I don't wanna argue kasi kahit anong mangyari talo nako sa situation na to. So ayun I gave him a little and he didn't even say thanks. Makarma sana yun.
Tuesday came and finally I had the time to fix the new location of my fishies! And I was scheduled for a facial by my mom that afternoon. I honestly don't like these stuff but I sort of agree just to make my mom happy. Since I'm still jobless, I might as well do whatever she likes. Since I have to wait for her, I ordered a drink at Gloria Jean's and it was yummy. Iced White Chocolate Oreo. Yum! Since I was a little hungry, I ate cheese galore which was actually lacking in cheese:D hehehe! A company called and asked if I was interested in an account executive post and I just answered that I have to think about it.
Wednesday came and I was actually scheduled for an interview somewhere in Mandaluyong but so many unlucky things happened. I accidentally cut a big part of my hand well not exactly super big. but it was big. Ouch! then I had to go at a company and we arrived there sadly, lunchtime. then had to wait but I understand why naman. May story pa but I think I choose to keep it for myself. Haha! Anyways, then ayun. Taxi ride home again. the cab driver is so nice and fast. paid him extra and he even said thanks! Great ride since aircon's working unlike the tuesday cab and fast he advised on going through San Marcelino which was great. :D Fed my fishies and isolated some took them to my fish clinic haha! just for observation:D
Having a super headache but still okay. I've started reading Freakonomics even a little noon pa. but I stopped since I really wanted to share what I've read.
In the first part, Did you know that legalizing abortion was actually the factor why crimes lessened in the United States when a lot of people are predicting that crime figures would rise up? And something about that a broker or seller of real estate how he waits for few days to get the best deal when selling his/her own house but when she/he sells another person's house he/she just get the first deal that comes by. and what else.. I sort of forgot. My head is in a total mess right now. haha!:D Sakit kasi.
Anyways, Tomorrow will be a busy day. Fish Day, Stuff day and Marketing and promotions day! haha:D I hope I get to do all those things tomorrow. need energy! haha:D good night then!

My Kryptonite
1) I had a 10am interview but on the way to the place, policemen are breaking traffic rules by making sure to keep Roxas Blvd open for the King of Brunei. In which I got stucked in traffic.
2) My bag's zipper broke. (dahil sa pagmamadali. hay!)
3) When the HR saw that I'm a fresh graduate, I think she closed my application already. Sayang oras ko. But okay lang.
These are the times where I don't wanna be left idle or have time for thinking. But this afternoon till this evening, A lot of things were occupying my thoughts. Well, it started early afternoon pala! But I was busy cleaning aquariums and my fishies' homes so I didn't have much time to think about it.
But after cleaning all of them, even fixed my table for fishes and supplies, I began to think about a lot of things and realized my kryptonite. I think alam ko na before pa, But I was too stubborn to realize. Hay!!! must sleep. I've been super tired these past few days.

Job Hunt and Chinese New Year!
Last week I applied for a management trainee position at a company. With the attractive monetary benefits, I'm sure a lot of people applied in that job. Anna and I were chatting around and I saw quite a number of Lasallians, Ateneans etc in that exam. I thought the exam would be like an IQ exam or something like that but it was more of personality exam. 37 items 20 minutes.
We needed to be there 1:30 pm sharp. And in fairness, I think we started on time. But since it's a group, we have to wait for a long time. I went home around 4-5 pm already! I think it was more of 5 pm. The first two cab drivers didn't want to take us in, the first one asking for an extra 50 bucks. (And heck, I don't wanna pay 50 bucks since I really pay extra naman to give a "tip" but asking for extra 50 bucks for metered taxis, I think that's too much.) And I told Anna, that if the third one still asks for 50 bucks or doesn't want to take us in, We'd better take the jeep and MRT. But luckily, the last cab took us in and chatted with us. He was really nice and at first I got a little hesistant but I think unlike other taxi drivers, he gave us a level of trust when I told him to just go with the Vito Cruz route since it's friday and Lasallians (well most of them anyway) don't have any classes:) So he did take that route and we paid him extra:)
Job Exam 2
This morning, I had my job exam for another management trainee position at Makati. I saw Jenny's lil sis there! And we just chatted and shared a lot of stories even on the way home via MRT. We had to take a lot of exams and by I think more or less 1030am, We were dismissed (O! parang classroom noh? hehe!) Anyways, so far these past two interviews I had more fun since I saw some friends:)
Happy Chinese New Year!
It's year of the OKS! oops. I mean, Ox. I hope this year will be a better one compared to last year. Well, a lot of people say that the first day of the year on both the English calendar and the Lunar calendar are bad days. But nevermind that, I really REALLY hope that this year turns out to be a better one:)
Happy New Year Everyone!
FOOD
We ate at Fish Out of Water at Greenbelt 5 last night. It was okay. But I think Casa Armas is better especially with the Paella. Oh, and also, it was my first time to try ostrich meat. I was a little hesistant about it but it tasted good naman. Paella was okay but the more you eat it the more tasty it gets:D Oysters were great! Yummy!:) I love eating oysters! hahah:) I remember that I ate Baked FRESH oysters in Canada last year and you don't even have to add anything on it and it tasted SO SUPER GREAT! :) Yum! Then I remembered the Oysters in Australia too!:( I like eating oysters!!
Anyways, I'm a little hot-headed right now...
P.S. I need to take more pictures to put on my blog. So probably and hopefully, I take some more pictures soon! (I actually did take pictures of some of my fishes but I think Multiply's the place to upload them.)

Job Interview Entry #2
I had an interview this morning for a Public Relations Company. I'm so glad that my dad drove me to the place since if I commuted or took a cab, I'm sure it would take me even a long time. My dad doesn't know the place that much. Well, we had a map and it was wrong! The map probably got confused with the intersections etc, 'coz if we followed the map, we might end up somewhere even farther!
Honestly, all jobs interviews that I went to are pretty ok. If you think about it, I have been very OC with the jobs that I apply. I was strict with myself on apply on marketing jobs only (for this time). But I think, I'll wait for the DLSU Job Expo this coming February just to broaden my options and who knows, I might find a great job via Job Expo! diba?
This company is really interesting. Probably because it's not a big name company but more or a small yet making waves company. And here, I realized that we must really have a daily subscription of newspapers! We used to have one but I kind of forgot the reason why we don't subscribe to newspapers anymore. After the interview, the boss asked me to answer a 2 questions and one of it is about ZestAir. At first, I thought that it was just a random question placing random things but meron pala talagang ZestAir. I asked my dad and he told me that ZestAir is by Zest-O. Wow!
I like learning a lot of new things! I feel happy if I discover something new:)
Took a cab home and felt sorry for the cab driver since his brother died few days ago or last night because he got held up in a cab. And I gave him a lot of extra money. But when I got home, I felt like I was scammed. Well, nevermind. At least I got home safely diba? :)
It's a lesson that I need to learn. Do not be too soft-hearted for most people because a lot of people will abuse your kindness and think only of their own welfare but not yours.
anyways! I'm glad I did three blog entries for this week! I was actually setting a goal for myself of blogging at least three times a week:) Yay!:)

Job Interview
I have a scheduled interview at a company near Monumento at 2pm. I was thinking leaving 1 hour earlier since it's my first time to go to that area. Thank goodness, LRT wasn't so crowded. It was not crowded at all! I even got to sit down:D haha:) The lady over the phone told me the directions to their place. And guess what, I was lost for a moment. It was really my first time to ride the LRT till Monumento (if I remember correctly) and It was my first time to go to that area too!
I was looking for puregold since the girl over the phone started her directions from puregold. Thank goodness for the kind vendors and guards I finally found puregold. maybe 1 -2 blocks away from the LRT. Maybe, I was scared of getting lost. I asked people before making a turn. I imagined myself driving without any idea where the destination was. It would probably take me whole day. That's why I like to commute whenever I go to a new place since it's easier to walk sometimes. You don't need to deal with turnng the wrong corner or something:D Since walkways are always TWO WAY!:D
Anyways, I arrived at the street, the nice lady over the phone told me that the number is 111. I still have around 15 -20 minutes left before 2pm. I saw 108, 109. then 11. so I assumed that was number 111. but it is not a grey gate! yikes. Then I asked people where -insert company here- is. They pointed me to a far direction. I was puzzled, since 108, 109 is here then 111 is soooooo far away. like a block or 2 away? I called up the company, thank goodness for giving me their number last time. Guess what! that street has two numbers! one old and one new! so, the company may be 111 but another number is 127! that's why it's still so far away! Yikes!
Finally! I found the place. I find it okay. honestly, d naman ako mapili sa workplace as long as they have a restroom. haha! basta malinis restroom it's fine with me. They keep asking me if the place was okay. It was really okay. I was just a little hesitant on the LOCATION not the place itself. It was really easy since it's just one ride away. but if you think what if the LRT's broken. yikes!
If LRT is not broken, then it would be fine. :D Imagine, just a ride everyday. saves time, money and energy:)
After the interview, I got back home riding the LRT. It took me just around 20 minutes or less from Monumento till Quirino Station. I was counting the average time for the first few stations. Around 1 minute per station since the LRT was almost empty. Everyone in the female cart got to sit down the first few stations.
During the whole train ride, I was thinking whether I'd be eating an ice cream at Mini stop on the way home. I really love their cheese ice cream. When I was about to go up the steps of the convenience store. I saw a friend from Chamber. I was a little bit shocked. Well, to make the long story short. He was scammed by someone. He saw a guy near burgundy asking for directions. The guy was looking for a trucking rental shop at Nagtahan. He was talking about COD and stuff that's why he brought this pouch with 12k in it DAW. It was in a pouch and you'd think it was a wad of bills and you could see a 50 peso bill from the outside. He told my friend that he would leave the 12k with my friend and wanted to get his wallet in exchange. But my friend told the guy that he only has 20 pesos in his wallet. So the guy just took his cellphone and necklace and told my friend to wait for him at the steps of Mini Stop. When he told me about what happened, the first thing that came to my mind was that he was probably scammed. He didn't open the pouch. We tried to call his phone, but the guy keeps rejecting the call. Then I thought, OH NO! Lumakas kutob ko na wala na d na babalik phone niya. Then I told him to just open the pouch, I'm pretty sure he was scammed. well. the pouch was really hard to open, We had to borrow scissors pa! then guess what. puros newspaper lang sa loob na cut into rectangles para magmukhang bills.
Grabe noh? I really felt bad for him. Since he really waited for a long time at the steps noh. I was really inis at the time. Thinking that probably these guys were targeting La Salle Students. Oh, the guy had an accomplice. I hope they get caught one day. Karma will definitely get them someday.
Two realizations for the day :
1) Imagine life without the LRT. Shucks! Baka d pa ako nakakatapak ng Monumento by today.
2) There are a lot of scammers out there. I hope they get to pay for those bad things they do someday. I really really hope MAKARMA SILA!

Best Job in the World?
Here's the article posted from the Yahoo! News Page!
"SYDNEY (AFP) – An Australian state is offering internationally what it calls "the best job in the world" -- earning a top salary for lazing around a beautiful tropical island for six months.
The job pays 150,000 Australian dollars (105,000 US dollars) and includes free airfares from the winner's home country to Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland's state government announced on Tuesday.
In return, the "island caretaker" will be expected to stroll the white sands, snorkel the reef, take care of "a few minor tasks" -- and report to a global audience via weekly blogs, photo diaries and video updates.
The successful applicant, who will stay rent-free in a three-bedroom beach home complete with plunge pool and golf buggy, must be a good swimmer, excellent communicator and be able to speak and write English.
"They'll also have to talk to media from time to time about what they're doing so they can't be too shy and they'll have to love the sea, the sun, the outdoors," said acting state Premier Paul Lucas.
"The fact that they will be paid to explore the islands of the Great Barrier Reef, swim, snorkel and generally live the Queensland lifestyle makes this undoubtedly the best job in the world."
Lucas said the campaign was part of a drive to protect the state's 18 billion Australian dollarglobal financial meltdown. a year tourism industry during the tough economic climate caused by the
"Traditional tourism advertising just doesn't cut it sometimes and we are thinking outside the box by launching this campaign."
Queensland Tourism Minister Desley Boyle said some people might question whether it was risky to let an unknown person become an unofficial tourism spokesperson for the state.
"I think the biggest risk will be that the successful candidate won't want to go home at the end of the six months," she said.
"This is a legitimate job which is open to anyone and everyone."
Applications are open until February 22. Eleven shortlisted candidates will be flown to Hamilton Island in early May for the final selection process and the six month contract will commence on July 1."
Now! who wouldn't want a job like that? haha! It's like earning around 700,000+ pesos a month! All you need to do is stay there for 6 months, report and blog about it! I like the job. but thinking about doing it everyday kind of scares me. Imagine, you'll be in the water for 6 months EVERYDAY. Yikes! must bring lots of sunscreen! haha:) TONS! maybe a sunscreen company would like to sponsor. Haha!:)
