My Kryptonite

Friday, January 30, 2009 0
I'm not superman or superwoman. But I think I know what my kryptonite (weakness) is right now. Definitely, things will always be out of our control. Just like what happened to me this morning. purely bad luck.

1) I had a 10am interview but on the way to the place, policemen are breaking traffic rules by making sure to keep Roxas Blvd open for the King of Brunei. In which I got stucked in traffic.

2) My bag's zipper broke. (dahil sa pagmamadali. hay!)

3) When the HR saw that I'm a fresh graduate, I think she closed my application already. Sayang oras ko. But okay lang.

These are the times where I don't wanna be left idle or have time for thinking. But this afternoon till this evening, A lot of things were occupying my thoughts. Well, it started early afternoon pala! But I was busy cleaning aquariums and my fishies' homes so I didn't have much time to think about it.

But after cleaning all of them, even fixed my table for fishes and supplies, I began to think about a lot of things and realized my kryptonite. I think alam ko na before pa, But I was too stubborn to realize. Hay!!! must sleep. I've been super tired these past few days.

On Luck

Thursday, January 29, 2009 4
I was ordering some stuff for my beloved fishies. I'm running out of supplies and I just need them. Bad luck since the "supplier" suddenly raised prices :( sad. But I think I'm pretty much resourceful and we'll see if my idea works.

Anyways, around last year. Whenever I go to cartimar, I make it a point to check out the fish that I wanted. As much as I wanted to buy it, I don't want to risk it. It costs 1000+. It was opaline in color. (Not sure) I really wanted it. But my practical self tells me not to buy. It costs like an arowana noh! It was really nice.

From my 100-200+ fishes now it's down to more or less 100 (not including newborns). The second batch of fries are placed in the aquarium outside our home and it was really hard to check all the fishes and see their colors. (I used to see it everyday but my dad placed some sunlight protection to lessen algae buildup). Few days ago, I tried to catch some of them just to check out the color and quality. Guess what! I was so happy, I really wanted something like this. Not opalines but at least similar. Opalines are more pearly white in color. Here is a picture of my fish! I'm so happy! I'm starting to reproduce this color and pair since I rarely see them in cartimar.

Anyways, after feeling sad and unhappy about the morning's bad luck. I went to timezone (coz I had to wait for some people to meet at RP) and checked my timezone card. Still have a lot of credits so I tried the catcher game since I remembered the candies. I wasn't expecting anything else. But on my first try. I got this!!!!

I was so surprised and I can't believe my eyes. I felt happy coz I was feeling so down that morning. haha!:) I was sort of laughing at myself coz when I see this plushie, I remember myself coz I have a cough and my nose gets jammed up once in a while this past few days. Hahaha!

I had a job interview and exam today. I was a little ticked off by the fact that she texted us that my schedule is 8am. I arrived at the place before 8 and guess what. 830 pa daw office hours nila. Crap? Another booboo happened but ok lang. We were given tons of test. The first one was a personality test 300 items! Yikes! I was yawning during the test since I slept pretty late last night and mejo troubled sleep pa! nagisging ng mga 4-5 then went back to sleep!

I was asked to return next week for another interview and then I went to RP. Had fun and felt happy:) Don't have to say why:)

Knockout. Pag uwi. did some stuff then after some time, Irested on my bed and fell asleep asap. :D

Anyways, I really like the song by U2 - Beautiful Day.

For those who wanted a pet, kindly comment here or something. I'm selling fishes and dogs.

It's a beautiful day! <3

Fish Bowl

This will be included in my wishlist!

I have already imagined where to put it pa!:D Cute noh!!! super cute.

Literally, A fish bowl. Bow.

I must really be.. err...

Tuesday, January 27, 2009 0
Hot headed this past few days.

Just 2 mins ago, Someone texted me with this message. "Visit us at SMSCaster.com for FREE! > hon d2 ka mag reply load mo ako 150 pesos" btw, eto pala ung number. 0927 - 9622026

I really hate scammers. Hope they go to.. well you know that place is. I'm really pissed off. I don't know if dahil maganda ba cell number ko at lagi ako tinetextan ng ganyan. Because I was so annoyed. I replied "Gusto mo ba isumbong kita sa imbestigador? lumang style na yan ah" I was really annoyed. Why is it that a lot of people are lying to other people just to get ahead?

Mataray na kung mataray, pero feeling ko kasi, bawal nako maging mabait. Wala napapala kabaitan ko. Maybe, I just feel so mataray lately. Dapat tinext ko pala muna "sino ka" tapos pagnalaman ko sino itetext ko ng "isusumbong kita sa Globe at Imbestigador ha? ok lang ba?" Para maloka un. I feel so nasty today. Super taray.

Siguro napuno ako, coz today, someone asked me the last price for the dog, and then I asked him how much does he want it ba or budget niya. Btw the dog is worth 18k. and he wanted it for 10k. Then mejo ok lang pag ganun. d pa ako nagrereply, sinabi na niya. Remember daw, he was offered a similar dog but older for 12k. pero d daw niya binili. Haller? Sakin pa sha magtatawad? 10k? e 18k nga price ko. ano siya hilo? bakit d niya binili ung isang dog? I think he's not stupid for him not to know the market prices for these dogs. We don't price that high. We give reasonable prices along with the extreme care we give. I really hated people who just do that and yun pala d naman pala talaga plan bibili in the first place. After giving him an offer he can't refuse, WALA d na nagreply.

I must be pretty annoyed today. This afternoon I was supposed to do a 10-20 minute power nap. But d ako nakatulog, kasi nung time na muntik nako makatulog ginising ako. Grr! Anyways, for those load scammers out there, I really hope one day mahuli na kayo.

Forgive my crankiness but I personally think I'm entitled to rant out sometimes:)

Anyways, I'm probably just tired. Gotta rest now!

Job Hunt and Chinese New Year!

Monday, January 26, 2009 2
Job Exam 1

Last week I applied for a management trainee position at a company. With the attractive monetary benefits, I'm sure a lot of people applied in that job. Anna and I were chatting around and I saw quite a number of Lasallians, Ateneans etc in that exam. I thought the exam would be like an IQ exam or something like that but it was more of personality exam. 37 items 20 minutes.

We needed to be there 1:30 pm sharp. And in fairness, I think we started on time. But since it's a group, we have to wait for a long time. I went home around 4-5 pm already! I think it was more of 5 pm. The first two cab drivers didn't want to take us in, the first one asking for an extra 50 bucks. (And heck, I don't wanna pay 50 bucks since I really pay extra naman to give a "tip" but asking for extra 50 bucks for metered taxis, I think that's too much.) And I told Anna, that if the third one still asks for 50 bucks or doesn't want to take us in, We'd better take the jeep and MRT. But luckily, the last cab took us in and chatted with us. He was really nice and at first I got a little hesistant but I think unlike other taxi drivers, he gave us a level of trust when I told him to just go with the Vito Cruz route since it's friday and Lasallians (well most of them anyway) don't have any classes:) So he did take that route and we paid him extra:)

Job Exam 2

This morning, I had my job exam for another management trainee position at Makati. I saw Jenny's lil sis there! And we just chatted and shared a lot of stories even on the way home via MRT. We had to take a lot of exams and by I think more or less 1030am, We were dismissed
(O! parang classroom noh? hehe!) Anyways, so far these past two interviews I had more fun since I saw some friends:)

Happy Chinese New Year!

It's year of the OKS! oops. I mean, Ox. I hope this year will be a better one compared to last year. Well, a lot of people say that the first day of the year on both the English calendar and the Lunar calendar are bad days. But nevermind that, I really REALLY hope that this year turns out to be a better one:)

Happy New Year Everyone!

FOOD

We ate at Fish Out of Water at Greenbelt 5 last night. It was okay. But I think Casa Armas is better especially with the Paella. Oh, and also, it was my first time to try ostrich meat. I was a little hesistant about it but it tasted good naman. Paella was okay but the more you eat it the more tasty it gets:D Oysters were great! Yummy!:) I love eating oysters! hahah:) I remember that I ate Baked FRESH oysters in Canada last year and you don't even have to add anything on it and it tasted SO SUPER GREAT! :) Yum! Then I remembered the Oysters in Australia too!:( I like eating oysters!!

Anyways, I'm a little hot-headed right now...

P.S. I need to take more pictures to put on my blog. So probably and hopefully, I take some more pictures soon! (I actually did take pictures of some of my fishes but I think Multiply's the place to upload them.)

Magic 8-ball

Thursday, January 22, 2009 0
If you notice the stuffs in this website, You'd probably see the Magic 8-ball on your right. I've tried it many times. I tried to ask the same question many times and guess what, I don't know if it was just by pure luck or just weird. But so far, all of the answers I got were true. Weird.

Anyways, I was chatting with JC over YM this afternoon about the plurk issue. And we talked about how that person "kinaya" ako kahit na si JC ung malakas humirit. I realized, I shouldn't be kind to people anymore especially to those who don't deserve it. Yeah, I was mad for tricking us, especially ME! (No proof of existence so far, so GUILTY until proven otherwise) And I was also mad for saying something that was really off topic and low blow. But I was even more mad at the fact that even if JC said the same things I did. Ako ung tinira niya. Well, D nga niya kaya si JC. Pero ok lang, so what, it just proves what kind of a person he is. The funny thing is that I used to see that person really great. Wala akong masabing masama sa kanya, NOON. The first time I encountered something bad with this person, Akala ko pa ako nagkamali nagsorry pa ako. Siya pa may lakas loob na magalit. Pero ok lang. Ako daw makulit, but if you ask our friends I'm sure sasabihin nila mas makulit siya. (proven to in my plurk) Pero ok lang, I think I had enough of this person. Not worth my time, my kindness and I would just like to think that this is a learning experience for me. I was consistent with my rebuttal statements and went all the way:)

Anyways, today went by smoothly. I was supposed to take pictures my 2 diplomas long before but I just forgot about it. My next entry would hopefully be about my diplomas! :D

Finally, I think it's a sure thing that I will not be going to China to study anymore so I could seriously look for jobs na. I have been stopping once in a while everytime the 6-month trip to China would resurface in the conversations. I know I have been a little picky with looking for work. It's just that I don't want to work for something I don't like and regret it later and change jobs. I'm just glad that at this moment, I know what I want and what career path to go to. There are two choices but both of them leads to the same outcome. :)

Good night! I'm keeping up with my goal of 3 blogs per week! Yay!:)

Good Riddance

If you happen to be my friend on my PLURK. Then you'd probably know what happened this afternoon. Honestly, I felt a little sad because I felt like I lost a friend. But then again, like what someone really special told me that if that person was able to do something like that, then he wasn't a friend in the first place. Like what JC said, be consistent with my arguments and I did. I didn't say something out of the topic unlike what that person did saying stuff that were not even related to the topic. So good riddance. Narealize ko, ako kayang kaya niyang ganunin kasi mabait ako. So ayaw ko na maging mabait. Marami kasing abusado eh.

Anyways, enough about that topic. I don't care anymore.

Yesterday, we received a cake. And guess what! It's one of my favorites! The Triple Chocolate Roll! I ate this cake for the first time around 3 years ago. I love it, back then it was bigger. But hey, I still love it up to today!

Triple Chocolate Roll from Red Ribbon. Picture courtesy of the Red Ribbon Website!

I think triple chocolate roll got its name because of
1) the chocolate swirls
2) chocolate icing (or coating)
3) chocolate cake (the foamy part)
4) chocolate filling inside the foaming part.

hey! that's 4! haha but I still find it super yummy!:) YUM!

Anyways, got to sleep! :) Good night!

Cheese Bar

Tuesday, January 20, 2009 3
I'm starting to keep myself busy again these past few days. Imagine, I haven't played the wii for almost two to three days now.:)

I tried breeding my fishes again:) Yesterday, we went to cartimar and browsed through the Japanese shops there and I saw this!

I was attracted to the word CHEESE! I love cheese! :) I was probably expecting a lot from this food but when I opened it and ate it. It was literally cheese bars with a little stuff on the sides. Sheesh! I could just have sliced strips of cheese. Hahah!

[I've deleted a part of the entry] I just realized that this is not a private blog so meaning I should be careful with whateveeeeeeer I say.

P.S. If you noticed, I changed the tags on all of my posts and segregated them into specific categories:) Yay!

I will never ever buy from that shop!

Saturday, January 17, 2009 2
I love pets! who didn't know that our home may sound like a zoo when people knew about the number of pets we have. But of course, like people, pets multiply and well, we need to sell some away to make up for the truckloads of dog food we order. (and fish food that I buy) Last week at Cartimar while waiting for my little sister, I tried to look for shops with few supplies of fighting fish for sale and tried to look for the owner so I could sell my extra fishes so maintenance would not be that much of an issue anymore. I only tried two shops, because other shops were on full stock. The first one where our secretary must have bought my fish food from was very masungit. I was hesitant to offer them my fish since I remember in that shop that once we saw a fish on the floor (out of water) and they didn't bother to put it back on the water. MEAN! Well, I just didn't mind that shop since there are at least 10 shops more around the vicinity.

Another shop was very kind and told me his boss' number and told me to come back in the afternoon because his boss is not yet at the shop. Unfortunately, I had to go home. So I called up their boss and asked if she buys fighting fish from breeders and she told me yes! Of course the price exchanges etc. But before we talked about that she told me na sayang kakaorder lang niya ng 50 fishes! sayang nga! But then again, 30 of my fishes are already "reserved" by my shobe's ninang. And no, not for sale. Mabait talaga and the next time I go there, I might as well as buy my fishes vitamins there. diba?

Now, the shop I called this afternoon was located at the mall. Robinson's Place Ermita to be exact. I usually visit this shop whenever I go to RP but their prices are more expensive compared to handyman and cartimar so I never buy from them and if ever I did, I probably did buy once or twice. (Now that I think of it, I think I did buy) I called them. Mahiyain ako usually especially to strangers but I think about my future and of course I want to help sell our dogs as well, I need to do this. I kept their "calling paper" (It was literally a paper, should be calling card) for around two weeks in the hope of getting the courage to call and try to sell. Guess what? I just asked if they can do consignment, or buy fishes or dogs. and the girl just shut me down by saying may supplier na sila. She didn't even ask for the price. The heck? What if I offer 50% off compared to your supplier's price? Well DI WAG! Someday, I will knock your shop out of that mall but building a better and more friendly shop for everone.

Actually, my mom already warned me about masusungit na pet shops. But if you were a good business person, you'd definitely look for goods/pets that would have a competitive price so that the next time you order from your supplier, you could haggle. DIBA? Just like what I did at greenhills when I bought our Wii Fit. I have a "suki" but in order to get the lowest possible price, I canvassed around for the prices of Wii Fit then the last shop I go to is my "suki's" shop and get the best price. Imagine slashing off at least 1500 pesos off the price tag. I think I saved around 2000 pesos compared to going straight to my suki's shop.

I was really annoyed, mad and a little discouraged. But then again, I won't let a stupid person ruin my day just like that:)

Job Interview Entry #2

This must be my 3rd entry about job interviews but I don't wanna backtrack and edit the titles of my past entries so I'd just place number 2 just to be sure.

I had an interview this morning for a Public Relations Company. I'm so glad that my dad drove me to the place since if I commuted or took a cab, I'm sure it would take me even a long time. My dad doesn't know the place that much. Well, we had a map and it was wrong! The map probably got confused with the intersections etc, 'coz if we followed the map, we might end up somewhere even farther!

Honestly, all jobs interviews that I went to are pretty ok. If you think about it, I have been very OC with the jobs that I apply. I was strict with myself on apply on marketing jobs only (for this time). But I think, I'll wait for the DLSU Job Expo this coming February just to broaden my options and who knows, I might find a great job via Job Expo!
diba?

This company is really interesting. Probably because it's not a big name company but more or a small yet making waves company. And here, I realized that we must really have a daily subscription of newspapers! We used to have one but I kind of forgot the reason why we don't subscribe to newspapers anymore. After the interview, the boss asked me to answer a 2 questions and one of it is about ZestAir. At first, I thought that it was just a random question placing random things but
meron pala talagang ZestAir. I asked my dad and he told me that ZestAir is by Zest-O. Wow!

I like learning a lot of new things! I feel happy if I discover something new:)

Took a cab home and felt sorry for the cab driver since his brother died few days ago or last night because he got held up in a cab. And I gave him a lot of extra money. But when I got home, I felt like I was scammed. Well, nevermind. At least I got home safely
diba? :)

It's a lesson that I need to learn. Do not be too soft-hearted for most people because a lot of people will abuse your kindness and think only of their own welfare but not yours.

anyways! I'm glad I did three blog entries for this week! I was actually setting a goal for myself of blogging at least three times a week:) Yay!:)

Job Interview

Thursday, January 15, 2009 2
This should be blogged yesterday since everything happened yesterday. But I was too tired last night and did a lot of stuff so here it is

I have a scheduled interview at a company near Monumento at 2pm. I was thinking leaving 1 hour earlier since it's my first time to go to that area. Thank goodness, LRT wasn't so crowded. It was not crowded at all! I even got to sit down:D haha:) The lady over the phone told me the directions to their place. And guess what, I was lost for a moment. It was really my first time to ride the LRT till Monumento (if I remember correctly) and It was my first time to go to that area too!

I was looking for puregold since the girl over the phone started her directions from puregold. Thank goodness for the kind vendors and guards I finally found puregold. maybe 1 -2 blocks away from the LRT. Maybe, I was scared of getting lost. I asked people before making a turn. I imagined myself driving without any idea where the destination was. It would probably take me whole day. That's why I like to commute whenever I go to a new place since it's easier to walk sometimes. You don't need to deal with turnng the wrong corner or something:D Since walkways are always TWO WAY!:D

Anyways, I arrived at the street, the nice lady over the phone told me that the number is 111. I still have around 15 -20 minutes left before 2pm. I saw 108, 109. then 11. so I assumed that was number 111. but it is not a grey gate! yikes. Then I asked people where -insert company here- is. They pointed me to a far direction. I was puzzled, since 108, 109 is here then 111 is soooooo far away. like a block or 2 away? I called up the company, thank goodness for giving me their number last time. Guess what! that street has two numbers! one old and one new! so, the company may be 111 but another number is 127! that's why it's still so far away! Yikes!

Finally! I found the place. I find it okay. honestly, d naman ako mapili sa workplace as long as they have a restroom. haha! basta malinis restroom it's fine with me. They keep asking me if the place was okay. It was really okay. I was just a little hesitant on the LOCATION not the place itself. It was really easy since it's just one ride away. but if you think what if the LRT's broken. yikes!

If LRT is not broken, then it would be fine. :D Imagine, just a ride everyday. saves time, money and energy:)

After the interview, I got back home riding the LRT. It took me just around 20 minutes or less from Monumento till Quirino Station. I was counting the average time for the first few stations. Around 1 minute per station since the LRT was almost empty. Everyone in the female cart got to sit down the first few stations.

During the whole train ride, I was thinking whether I'd be eating an ice cream at Mini stop on the way home. I really love their cheese ice cream. When I was about to go up the steps of the convenience store. I saw a friend from Chamber. I was a little bit shocked. Well, to make the long story short. He was scammed by someone. He saw a guy near burgundy asking for directions. The guy was looking for a trucking rental shop at Nagtahan. He was talking about COD and stuff that's why he brought this pouch with 12k in it DAW. It was in a pouch and you'd think it was a wad of bills and you could see a 50 peso bill from the outside. He told my friend that he would leave the 12k with my friend and wanted to get his wallet in exchange. But my friend told the guy that he only has 20 pesos in his wallet. So the guy just took his cellphone and necklace and told my friend to wait for him at the steps of Mini Stop. When he told me about what happened, the first thing that came to my mind was that he was probably scammed. He didn't open the pouch. We tried to call his phone, but the guy keeps rejecting the call. Then I thought, OH NO! Lumakas kutob ko na wala na d na babalik phone niya. Then I told him to just open the pouch, I'm pretty sure he was scammed. well. the pouch was really hard to open, We had to borrow scissors pa! then guess what. puros newspaper lang sa loob na cut into rectangles para magmukhang bills.

Grabe noh? I really felt bad for him. Since he really waited for a long time at the steps noh. I was really inis at the time. Thinking that probably these guys were targeting La Salle Students. Oh, the guy had an accomplice. I hope they get caught one day. Karma will definitely get them someday.

Two realizations for the day :

1) Imagine life without the LRT. Shucks! Baka d pa ako nakakatapak ng Monumento by today.

2) There are a lot of scammers out there. I hope they get to pay for those bad things they do someday. I really really hope MAKARMA SILA!

Best Job in the World?

Tuesday, January 13, 2009 7
Saw this article on the Yahoo Website!

Here's the article posted from the Yahoo! News Page!

"SYDNEY (AFP) – An Australian state is offering internationally what it calls "the best job in the world" -- earning a top salary for lazing around a beautiful tropical island for six months.

The job pays 150,000 Australian dollars (105,000 US dollars) and includes free airfares from the winner's home country to Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland's state government announced on Tuesday.

In return, the "island caretaker" will be expected to stroll the white sands, snorkel the reef, take care of "a few minor tasks" -- and report to a global audience via weekly blogs, photo diaries and video updates.

The successful applicant, who will stay rent-free in a three-bedroom beach home complete with plunge pool and golf buggy, must be a good swimmer, excellent communicator and be able to speak and write English.

"They'll also have to talk to media from time to time about what they're doing so they can't be too shy and they'll have to love the sea, the sun, the outdoors," said acting state Premier Paul Lucas.

"The fact that they will be paid to explore the islands of the Great Barrier Reef, swim, snorkel and generally live the Queensland lifestyle makes this undoubtedly the best job in the world."

Lucas said the campaign was part of a drive to protect the state's 18 billion Australian dollarglobal financial meltdown. a year tourism industry during the tough economic climate caused by the

"Traditional tourism advertising just doesn't cut it sometimes and we are thinking outside the box by launching this campaign."

Queensland Tourism Minister Desley Boyle said some people might question whether it was risky to let an unknown person become an unofficial tourism spokesperson for the state.

"I think the biggest risk will be that the successful candidate won't want to go home at the end of the six months," she said.

"This is a legitimate job which is open to anyone and everyone."

Applications are open until February 22. Eleven shortlisted candidates will be flown to Hamilton Island in early May for the final selection process and the six month contract will commence on July 1."

Now! who wouldn't want a job like that? haha! It's like earning around 700,000+ pesos a month! All you need to do is stay there for 6 months, report and blog about it! I like the job. but thinking about doing it everyday kind of scares me. Imagine, you'll be in the water for 6 months EVERYDAY. Yikes! must bring lots of sunscreen! haha:) TONS! maybe a sunscreen company would like to sponsor. Haha!:)

Random Things

Monday, January 12, 2009 3
Another random blog.

I was so happy with my new Nalgene water bottle that I took pictures of the actual product.
From left to right : Pink N-gen Nalgene, Blue OTG Nalgene

I like the pink-ness of my new Nalgene bottle! But of course, I still use my OTG bottle. I use it everyday and will remain that way. PINNNNNNNNNNK!

Anyways, enough about my Nalgene bottles! Do you remember I posted some random stuff last time asking readers to guess what this is?

Yes! This thing! Others joked that it was a telephone cord. But for me, this is what I've been looking for all those accessories shop in malls. But sadly, I think I have to go as far as greenhills again to buy this. This is actually a pantali sa buhok. My lil sis told me when we saw this at greenhills that this thingy does not put marks on your hair. I usually keep my hair in a ponytail whenever I'm home and sometimes, if you keep your hair in a ponytail, after some time, your hair gets marks or creases. At first, I didn't believed what she said. But after using it for a long time now. It's really true! Now, if I could only find something like this in Manila.

I took a photo with my contact lens case! forming an emoticon :0 haha!:D

Oh, by the way. this also comes in insect repellant wristbands. While I was trying so hard to search for this stuff, I saw that they have it in Handyman. Guess what, A ponytail in Handyman? I don't think so! Turns out that it was actually an insect repellant band probably for kids. And now that I remember it, my cousin's daughter has one on her wrist haha!:)

anyone knows where I could get this stuff? thanks!

Oh, Me and my little sister went to Cartimar yesterday and I feel like that going to Cartimar is even better than going to an amusement park. I could just stay there for 3 or more hours and not get bored. :D I bought an aquarium, fish food and some vitamins for my dearest pets!

Me and my little sister saw some jellyfish! They're so cute and comes in different colors! They come in blue, black and white! We ate at a bento box restaurant. (more details on a separate blog entry) and was hoping to eat taho and drink wintermelon juice that when we decided to eat taho na, the store was locking its doors already :( sad.

Anyways, gotta go! :)

Friday Fun

Friday, January 9, 2009 0

Woke up around 7:40 am. Showered. Dressed up. Fan Dry my Hair. Ate breakfast. Drove out of the house with my little sister who's not so little anymore. One of my goals for this year was to actually have a habit of eating breakfast. I bought a new kind of cereal last time and I promised myself that eventually, I will eat cereals for breakfast. And I did! I loved the flavor of the cereals. Not too sweet, Not to bland. Just right! Whee~ Success!

Another goal of mine is to drive at least 50 kilometers by the end of the year. I was wondering why we are going to leave the house earlier. Yun pala, I will be the one who will do the driving. Except for that I only drove out of the house and out on the main street and my little sister decided she drives. I think I cannot drive under pressure. She has a class 10am. I don't want to be responsible for her tardiness today. Imagine if the prof ask her why she's late and she'll say that it's because her sister drove the car today. Yikes! I was a little unsure because I wasn't prepared to drive. But after we arrived at Mckinley Hill. She told me to just drive since it's still early. And so I did. It was really fun since there weren't that much cars around.

Parked it and we went to her school. While she's on her class. I just waited for her at their library. I like their library. It's so... NEW! All books are new, interesting and nice. I browsed the Cadbury Simple Chocolate book and some other book about living spaces. Chatted with a few people and students. It was actually fun. I think I like their office and school a lot compared to others. But who knows, it's still too early to say these things.

After my little sis' class, we (together with her friends) ate at Joey Pepperoni. It was ok. I think I like Sbarro more. hehe! After eating, we went back to her school and waited for a while for my job interview. It was ok. I got tensed. Dunno why.

After that, my lil sis and I went to Bonifacio High Street to buy her FitFlops. I drove the car!!! YAY! I was a little tensed. But I arrived and parked safely. Then I saw my the Nalgene bottle I wanted ever since last last year! I bought one before as a birthday/christmas gift for Mel. But during that time it was the last bottle in stock. And I already have the OTG (On-The-Go). I have the blue bottle and bought the green one as a gift for my brother last last year too! Here are the pics
Image from www.nalgenechoice.com.

This was what I have. The red one is not available here in the Philippines but I think I saw it when we went to Chicago last last year. If the red one was available back then, I think I'd buy the red one! hehe!

Back then, the N-gen wasn't even released or wasn't available here in the Philippines. I really wanted it because I bought my OTG bottle thinking it was leak-proof. But it wasn't because it is one of their lines that was offered to be easy to pour and drink from. When N-gen was released I really wanted it but it was a little expensive and I already have the OTG. I was so happy that I saw it this afternoon with all colors available to choose from.

Image is again taken from www.nalgenechoice.com.

Well, it was a choice between the pink bottle or the orange one. I really had a long time deciding which color should I buy. Can you guess what color I bought?

Anyways, my lil sis bought something from Aquazorb and a Nalgene Shaker.

After shopping, She drove the car back to her school and I practiced my driving around and went home. (she drove all the way home.) It was fun but tiring and I think I got a headache from the init-lamig weather.

50 kilometers! HERE I COME!

Wednesday

Agenda: Job Interview in the Morning

Had my 2nd Job Interview at that company. Well, I alloted 50 minutes for the travelling time. I need to ride the LRT, MRT and a Jeep / FX going to that company. I was actually 45 seconds late! Grr! The first train at LRT was so cramped that I could squeeze myself in. Then I had to wait for around 3-5 minutes before the MRT train left. Then I had to line up for the jeepney ride and TRAFFIC. yikes! If I probably squeezed myself in the first LRT train then I probably wasn't late! grr! Well. The job was really okay. But thinking about the monetary benefits and the location made me think twice. Honestly, it was just my friend who advised me not to take a job with small monetary benefits. When I went home, my parents just told me that if I didn't get the job at a certain company, then I should just go to China for six months.

Well, after the interview, I had a brunch at 7 Eleven just to pass time. Since I wasn't sure at that time if I'd be going somewhere to have lunch with someone:) Then walked all the way back to the MRT station and went to the meeting place! Lunch was super great:)

Thursday (TODAY!)

Well, had another great lunch. when I say great lunch. It's not about the food:)

Friday (TOMORROW!)

Well, another job interview. If I get a job offer on this one. I'd probably take it since I'm guessing that I wasn't accepted for my "dream" job.

Randoms

Monday, January 5, 2009 0
Well, I really wanted to blog about something interesting but for the record. I was really busy today. Wanna practice waking up early and the best I could do for today (since vacation mode) is around 9am. tomorrow, I have to wake up at least 10-30 minutes earlier! Fed my fishies, watched dvd so I could finish the 10 episode Japanese series. Then installed something for my Dad's computer and filed papers and documents for my Mom. Answered phone calls too!

It was a busy day but at least I didn't just bum around.

I have been thinking about a few things that would be my goals for this year.
I haven't organized them yet, but here's a rough draft of it!

1) Blog at least 3 times a week.
2) Use my planner to the fullest.
3) Format my laptop this year. (At least learn how!)
4) Drive at least 50 kilometers by the end of the year (I hope they let me drive though)
5) SAVE, SAVE, SAVE (actually, I'm being super practical and thrifty lately... which is a good sign!)
6) Read books at least one book a month (I hope d na sumakit ulo ko, kakainis labo kasi mata ko)
7) Take more pictures (more memories!)
8) Finish Cooking Mama! haha:D joke lang! HmmMmMm! I'll think about it.

Have a great start everyone!
I was feeling a little down of some bad news (well, not sure yet but I think I shouldn't be thinking about it! Looking forward for a better year!)

The Gas Pedal is my Friend!

Friday, January 2, 2009 4
Today at around 9 in the morning, My brother woke me up telling me that we will fill up all our cars with gas today. I was still sooooo sleepy and half wondering why am I going with him since my credit card is not the Shell Citibank Card na.

(Just in case you didn't know, Shell Citibank Mastercard
gives 5% rebate on gas purchases at all Shell stations. )

But I didn't think about it that much since I was so sleepy and I just brushed my teeth, washed my face and changed into pants and went down. The reason why he woke me up because I was going to drive all the cars to the Shell Station. and no, it's not just that Taft - La Salle Shell Station but the one in Macapagal Boulevard (the one near MOA).

Honestly, to practice my driving skills is okay. But I was still sleepy after sleeping late last night! And I told my brother that I don't wanna drive the new car. (And maybe he was scared that I might bump the new car so he said of course! hahaha!) I was thinking that I also don't wanna drive the Trooper, it's so big! Parking it in our parking area is okay, but getting it out of the gate was like super hard for me! Anyways, We went to the Shell Station using the Civic first. Honestly, now I can't remember but I think I went out of the gate butt first! Yay! and yea, I was really slow at first with the Civic. It has been a long time since I last drove a car noh!

The gas pedal is my friend! At first, I was scared to step on the gas. I was really careful with the turns and lane-changings and I know, a few cars overtaked me but at least didn't honk their horns:) During the first 5 minutes or 10 minutes. My brother pressed the hazard button. (Oh, I hope the next time I drive alone I will be able to caution other drivers using that hazard button! HAHA!) But after Quirino, I think he turned it off na. Luckily, today, there weren't as much motorbikes around. Now, I understand why some people hated motorbikes while driving! Anyways, we reached the shell station! Yay for me! I was a little annoyed because I was wearing slippers which made it a tad difficult stepping on brakes and gas pedals because of the mat, I think.

Anyways, after the gas station, We went home and again, I was having a little difficulty with our gate. And accidentally, I stepped on the gas pedal where I was supposed to stepped on the brake! But luckily, I stepped on the brake agad. (oh, that was the time when my brother went out of the car to check if I could enter the gate.) If the gas pedal is my friend then the brake pedal is my Bestfriend! haha! and I did it! whew!:)

Next car, my brother's rav4 and he told me he was the one driving it our of the gate and our street because he didn't want me to make gasgas to his mags? or is it mugs? the wheels of the car? I gladly obliged. Same banana, drove all the way to shell station and while going back home via Macapagal, my brother held the steering wheel and told me to step on the gas pedal on the max level. Of course I was scared. I wanna learn how to drive safe not to drive FAST! But well, brother's orders so I did it.

Next car the Trooper, this car, I really had a tough time taking it out of our gate. but I did it and my brother told me to turn left at Taft Avenue. and when I saw the shell station I asked him happily if we were going to fill the tank with the gas station at the Taft Branch. (Thinking : Yay! shorter route) But he said no! (oh no!!!?) I drove around leveriza and donada street turned 2 turns before going back to Taft again. Then ayun, he told me to go to the Shell Station at Taft (other side sa kanina) and fill up the tank. When we arrived at that gas station. We found out that it was way more expensive! Imagine for V-power, It was around 3-4 pesos cheaper at the Macapagal Station! So my brother asked me if I can drive till Macapagal. And I told him, He could drive! haha! So he told me to just drive home. And this is the hardest part that I bumped the side mirror on our gate! I was having a difficult time that my brother drove the car in one part. Anyways, Pinasok niya ung car since hindi ko talaga kaya and nilabas niya ulit ung car para i drive ko papasok and park it. And I did it, finally.

The second to the last car, my shobe's car. My brother asked me to ask her if it's ok that we fill the gas tank of her car. But she said coding daw today so we didn't bother na. Whew~

I really wanted to go straight to bed and sleep again. But my brother told me to go with him out for a drive using the new car. He was going to do driving OF COURSE! haha! We circled Macapagal once more and he was driving really fast. And the unique thing I found out with the new car is that it can become semi-manual.

And I told him if we can stop by Harrison Plaza 'coz I need to buy something to organize my stuff, he said ok. But I think he kind of forgot so we just went home.

And I slept.
